Crisis Communications

This afternoon, I’m going to head over to the University of Washington Communications Building to speak with Kathleen Fearn-Banks’ Crisis Communications 452 class. I look forward to the discussion with students. It’s hard to believe these students were just 13 or 14 years old, when the first major crisis of the Bush Administration – the attacks of 9/11 – occurred.

More later.

UPDATE: I really enjoyed the discussion with the students. They had plenty of great questions – ranging from how we handled the communications response to 9/11 to the difference between corporate and political public relations. I was impressed with how engaged and thoughtful they were.
